I was recently invited to share my story on Avini Vibes, which gave me the chance to reflect on some of the most meaningful parts of my journey. In the interview, I opened up about how my writing began after the loss of my son, Jared, in 1998 to suicide due to bullying. That heartbreaking experience became the foundation for my first book, Bullycide in America: Moms Speak Out About the Suicide/Bullying Connection, and started me on a path of helping others through words and shared experiences.
I also talked about my own detox journey and how it has shaped both my health and my sense of purpose. Along the way, I’ve been blessed with connections like Valerie and Dave Johnson, whose friendship and encouragement continue to inspire me. The conversation naturally flowed into why I wrote Heavy Metals, Chemicals & Hidden Toxins and what’s coming next with my new book, Heavy Metals, Chemicals & Hidden Dangers. These projects are my way of sounding the alarm and offering hope—reminding people that a balanced body truly can heal itself.
